This is my machine drawers as I found them. They looked pretty bad, but I knew their was hope for them. They just needed some tender loving care and I knew just what to do. I got into my material stash and found my pink and green material and took it to the machine to crazy quilt. Then I started the fun work. Using my silk ribbons to embroidery, beads to make the lace stand out, buttons and rhinestons to add just the right bling. I turned these drab drawers into pure elegance. Hope you enjoy them too. I had so much fun working on them.
You can click on pictures to enlarge..... Lori, at katiesrosecottage furnished the pink glass knobs. They added just the right touch. Thank you Lori! And the drawers are lines with pink paper.....
Please excuse my monitor. I'm not the best photographer...
I hand dyed the lace with a paint brush......
Added embroidery to high light this rose and the the stem..... Added beads to the center of the silk ribbon rose.
A couple of buttons just for fun........And trim and lace around the edges.....

Hope you enjoyed my new machine drawers. I am going to list them on Tattered Elegance - Close Creations tomorrow. They will be for sale if anyone is interested.
May you all have a wonderful day tomorrow and come back soon!

My goodness Pat what a lot of work and creativity! They look like the same kind of old drawers that would have been on my Nans old treadle machine :o) You've certainly made them into a show stopper. I can only imagine what dear little treasures you will store in them now. Thank you for your very kind comments too.
Hugs, Rose.

wow, that is beautiful! found my way here via 'tarnished & tattered' and I'm so glad I did, I'll definitely be following as I don't want to miss a thing!
Hello Pat,
How lovely is your drawer cover...totally transformed the vintage cast off. I'm a vintage fabric collector...well anything related to sewing pretty much. I love to hand sew...the flowers in my blog header are some of my hand sewing.
I read your profile and had to laugh...there seem to be this huge network of us that will *dumpster dive and snatch stuff from curbs* :0)
In addition to that I've got all these recycle centers in the mountains that I take my trash to and they have spots allocated for clothes, metal, furniture, etc...it's great! I've found a cute little table so far.
It's nice to meet you. Rose always has the coolest photos..She's such a funny woman..I love her sense of humor.
You have a great day and do come to visit soon!
Hugs,
Stephanie ♥
Hi Pat,
I found out about your blog over at Lisa's blog.
I think your machine drawers are so pretty. I just love using them for sewing and craft supplies. Of course, mine look nothing as pretty as yours.
I signed to follow you and will be back often.
hugs

What a small world... I met you last year at Antique Alley (and can't wait to go again this year). I found your blog again through Lori's blog - she posted about your quilting.
Looks like you ladies have a lot of fun with your craft nights. I'd love to join in sometime. Hope to see you in a few weeks!
WOW!!!! This is amazing, you do beautiful, work. I am in awe of your blog, just found you by way of Lisa! Gorgeous.

Pat, your work is so beautiful. I love how you made all the flowers come to life, in their own shiney, sparklely and lacey way. I also scrolled down your past blogs and love how you made everything look new and differant. Very inspiring, makes me want to try to do the same. Do you give classes on your needlework art? I would love to learn.
Hi Pat,
I just LOVE these! Wish I had room for them, I'd buy for myself. I posted about you today. Go read. Love ya! Lisa
Your CQ is absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail is amazing. Happy creating...
Wow!! Beyond gorgeous. To really show this type of item when taking pictures you need some nice natural light then the pictures would not be so dim.
Your work really is Incredible!!
Cheers, cindykay
Pat,
Your hand work is beautiful. What a treasure. Hope to see you at art group. Have a blessed Easter.
