A CHANGE OF PLANS

A few blogs back I showed you this pic of a piece of CQ that I was making for a new eye glass case.  Well my daughter Kim came over last Saturday and spent the day with me  and she wanted me to make her a pillow out of it.  So as any mother would do I started working on a pillow. This is the pillow that I made for her.  As you can see I added some more embellishments.  The picture of my mother and dad holding me when I was a baby really caught her eye.  She was really close to my mom and dad.  She was born on my mothers 40th birthday and was her first grandchild.  I had bought a beautiful drape and thats what I made the pillow from and added the lace to the front.  Below I will show you a few pics up close.Hope you like the pics.  I think Kim will treasure this for a long time.  She doesn't have any children so she will probably hand this down to my only granddaughter Payton.  I love to make heirloom treasures to pass down to a new generation.  Hope everyone is having a great time decoratering, shopping and going to Christmas parties.  Hugs, Pat

OH PAT YOUR PILLOW IS SO VERY PRETTY! Kim should treasure that all her life! How special those memories are for both of you & it is just like you to be making something for yourself & to then generously give it to someone else. You are one of the most giving precious souls! A true treasure of a Mom & Friend. I am blessed to have you in my life. Merry Christmas sweet Pat! Hugs! Charlene

This is beautiful! I can understand why your daughter wanted it made into a pillow.
