I'VE GOT ANOTHER CURB SIDE FIND

Thought I would show you another one of my curb side finds.  I found this a few months ago sitting on the curb.  It had some leaves and very dusty.  I cleaned up the lining and matress cover.  Think I need to make a pillow and little cover for it.  It had a little damage on the end.  The weaving had come loose in a few places.  So I got out the old trusty glue gun and put it back in order.  So I guess this will make it to Antique Alley too.  I think she is lovely!!  Think she would make a great display piece for someones booth in an antique mall.  Would hold lots of beautiful treasures.Hope you enjoyed looking at my little basket.  Today I found another curb side find, a bed or at least the head  and foot board of the bed.  It is vintage, I think it was from the late forties or early fifties.  The reason I think that is it looks like one my mother and dad had.  It is even blond like the one they had.  Only this one is not as elaborate as mothers.  Hers was beautiful with two colors of wood.  It was destroyed in the 79 tornado that hit Vernon, TX just before it hit Wichita Falls.  It destroyed their home and almost everything in it.  Wish we would have had some pics of the furniture, but we didn't take pics of our homes back then like we do now.  I love to look back at how I have changed my home over the years.  It has changed many time inside and out.  I'll show the bed when I figure out what I'm going to do with it.
Hope all of you have a great day.
Hugs, Pat

OMGOSH...this is a great find! I use to redo these little beauties and sell them on ebay (the doll sized ones). They are daring and look great filled with flowers for spring.

Thanks for sharing girly...always a joy to visit.

Pat,

Thank you for visiting my blog today and leaving such a nice comment! I am eternally grateful to Dawn - she is so dear!

I visually strolled through your blog and I am so impressed I became a "follower"! You definitely have treasure hunting down to a fine art!

Lovin' your latest find...I see the inside of the basket lined with protective plastic, filled with potted flowering plants and gracing a front porch!

I'll be back!

Thank you!

Sandy

Hi Pat! I love your curbside find! I found a baby basket similar to yours, but mine has legs. I am using it in my studio to store items right now, but as you mentioned, I may use it for display in my booth...great to put pillows or linens in. I hope you are well!

This looks just like the one that I tried to sell at Trade Days!!!! Remember? Only difference is that the one I had was mine!!!! You have the best luck finding things.

Thank you for all the sweet words of comfort about loosing our precious baby. Joanne went home this morning & Honey was still at work. This was the first time in the 12 years I have lived here that I was alone in this house.

THE HOUSE SCREAMS WITH QUIET! Her rugs are still there, the food bowl gone but, SHE is everywhere I look... yet no where to be found. My heart is broken & I feel so ALONE! But, I know I have the love of my dear friends like you & that does help. I will crawl out of the dark sometime. HUGS! Charlene

Pat,
You have the most EXCELLENT neighborhood for dumpster diving. I can't believe the stuff you find for free. I can think of a million things to do with that sweet bassinet. Doesn't it just blow you away what people toss out? Good for us tho. Lisa
I had so much fun Friday.
