This is a beautiful vintage frame that my friend Rachel brought me. She and her husband Dennis came last week to visit for a few days. She also brought another frame and a suitcase full of rubber stamps, some were mine that I had loned her several years ago and the rest was some that she had bought. So now I can really stamp. I even bought a new heat gun so I can emboss when I want too........anyway I haven't decided what to do with the other frame, but this one I made into "The Wedding". I used old lace, mofits, music sheet and of coarse the wedding picture. Hope you like it. I have it hanging in my booth in the Lone Star Mall along with this next piece of art.
This is a nice wooden box that I found and dressed. I love the lady on the front. I used Lisa's technique to do the lady over the sheet music. Then I added little flower mofits and buttons on the front with the pearls.
Inside I used the music sheets and lined the edges with tatting and added this little bird to the top.
I've got another piece of art to show you when I get some pictures of it. Until then I hope you have a great day tomorrow.
Pat, I love your latest creations. The frame is lovely, but you know I love that box! I'm obsessed with boxes. My fave ever is the one you gave me a long time ago. I hope they sell right away. How's the space going? Miss you, have a box for you. Send your addy again, & Charlene's if you have it. Lisa
Pat!!!! Oh my goodness...I love it all! The Wedding is so beautiful to me ~ and you know I love gorgeous boxes, you did such an amazing job with this one sweetie ~ I hope you're doing wonderful Pat, hugs and love, Dawn
Thank you for stopping by to meet me and hear about My Tattered Elegance.
My name is Pat, I'm a self taught artist, junker and creative person. I paint on nearly any surface, make ribbon roses one petal at a time, do ribbon embroidery, form roses from the oven baked clay. I also do some sewing for my home.
My favorite pasttime is not going shopping at the mall, it is going shopping at a good yard sale, or fantastic estate sale or a big flea market. The thrill of finding that special something is better than chocolate (and I love chocolate). I'm even one of those ladies that stop and load my car with the cast offs on the side of the curb. Some of the curb trash becomes my best finds.
I'm at home here in Fort Worth, Texas and love it. I have a married daughter, Kim. She doesn't have any children only three cats. I also have a married son, Kent. He has two sons, Bryce and camron. Also one daughter, Payton. She is the one that comes and paints with me. And she loves to use my beads to make jewelry. Grand-daughters are so much fun.
